2023 Registration opens on February 1, 2023

The Norway Triathlon is a United States Triathlon (USAT)-sanctioned sprint triathlon that combines swimming, bicycle riding, and running.

Competitors begin with a 750-meter swim on a triangular course from Norway’s Pennesseewassee Park beach area near Route 118. Upon returning to the beach, swimmers will run to the transition area, mount their bikes for a 12.4 mile (20 km) ride up 118, taking a right turn on the Greenwood Road to a turnaround point beyond the Richardson Hollow Road. Once back at the transition area the final leg begins; a 3.1 mile (5 km) run through the paved roads of the Ashton neighborhood. The finish line is back in Pennesseewassee Park. Individual competitors undertake all three legs. Relay teams may be formed with 2 or 3 competitors. Racers of all abilities are encouraged to compete.

As we plan for this year’s triathlon, we will be following all CDC guidelines and will look to the USAT guidelines on safely racing. Our current plan based on these recommendations, is to hold the event in person, but please be aware that we may move to virtual if racing in-person no longer falls within these safety guidelines. With that being said, our registration for 2023 will be at full capacity. We are also excited to welcome spectators!
